The Broadband Commission launches a new website in coordination with its Annual Spring Meeting

In March of 2021, the Broadband Commission for Sustainable Development Launched its New Website

Following the input of its esteemed Commissioners and Chairs, the Broadband Commission has refreshed the look of its website. The new website (www.broadbandcommission.org) has an improved look and feel, presenting the work of the Commission in a cleaner, more interactive and responsive design. 

With the integration of a user-friendly interface that allows readers to view documents before downloading, the new website is able to track each report’s views, downloads and overall impressions to help measure the impact of the Commission. With these vast improvements, the new site is set to bring a spotlight to the 10 Annual State of Broadband Reports, the more than 30 Working Group Reports and various Commissioner insights and case studies that have been compiled since its inception.

Broadband Commissioners at Mobile World Congress 2024 

The Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona is an annual trade show organized by the GSMA dedicated to the mobile communications industry. Several Commissioners and their entities participated in the gathering as speakers, attendees and session moderators. In addition to the general agenda, a Ministerial Programme was featured under the “Mobile for Development ” Track, this Programme is noted to be the largest gathering of policymakers and industry leaders in the world.

Broadband Commissioners at the 2024 WEF Annual Meeting in Davos

Many Broadband Commissioners attended the WEF Annual Meeting this year to bring the issues of digital inclusion, new technologies as a driving force for the economy and society and universal connectivity center stage. Covering topics from, the future of AI, e-government services, space connectivity and more, they presented insightful discussions and shared innovative strategies aimed at closing the digital divide and promoting equal access to the internet as a means of advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
